Secret 7"

Sleeve design for Elbow's 'Grounds For Divorce' for 2014 Secret 7" Record Day sale in aid of War Child © Ben Rowe - www.benrowe.co.uk

I'm extremely excited to announce that I have had this design chosen for this year's Secret 7"

It's not often you get the chance to have your work on a record sleeve of one of your favourtie artists

The design I had chosen was for Elbow's 'Grounds For Divorce'

The sleeve was sold after the event on War Child UK's eBay page for an amazing £45.01!

SECRET 7’’ IS AN ANNUAL EVENT THAT COMBINES MUSIC AND ART FOR A GOOD CAUSE – THIS YEAR IN AID OF WAR CHILD

This is the one weekend you have for viewing the collection in it's entirety

Inside our 700 sleeves are records by seven of the best-known musicians around

Each sleeve is a unique one-off interpretation, each lovingly created by hundreds of different artists

The seven tracks in 2014 are:

Black Sabbath – Age Of Reason
Elbow – Grounds For Divorce
Jake Bugg – Strange Creatures
Lorde - Team
Massive Attack - Karmacoma
Roxy Music – Virigina Plain
T.Rex – Get It On

Jake and Dinos Chapman, Antony Gormley, Paul Smith, Jeremy Deller & Stanley Donwood have all contributed designs,

alongside a whole host of photographers, illustrators, painters, graffiti artists, sculptors, Karl Pilkington (yeah, the real Karl Pilkington)

and some of the young people that War Child supports in Afghanistan

All of the records in the show go on sale on Record Store Day (April 19) on a first come, first served basis

They are £45 each, and there is a maximum of 5 sleeves per transaction

Only once you’ve parted with your cash, you’ll get to discover who has created your sleeve and which track it’s for
